1.Team Name: Milwaukee Bucks Record: 7-0 Key wins: 76ers, Key losses: N/A - Yes they played the Hawks twice, the Knicks and the Blazers, but they did what's the most important thing in basketball, get the job done. Their defense is fantastic, as they are ranked number 1 in opposing team PPG, with just slightly below 88 a game. Their trade with the Pacers really helped them out as they received Ron Artest who's averaging 20ppg, and 3spg (3rd in UBL). Zach Randolph is probably their backbone because he's doing the dirty job averaging close to 20ppg and 10rpg. Rookie Andrew Bogut is contributing with 11ppg, and 7.7rpg. The Bucks have a solid bench player at every positioin, amongs them is Dan Gadzuric, who's grabbing close to 9rpg. Guess the BucksGM really didn't underestimate his abilities, but only time will tell. I will have to see how they do in the next sim as they face the Pistons twice (home and away) to really put the stamp on them if their contenders or pretenders. Key Player: Zach Randolph2.Team Name: Miami Heat Record: 7-1 Key wins: Nuggets and Magic Key losses: Hawks - An interesting schedule as well. The 76ers played the .500 Washington Wizards team 3 times, and beat them 3 times. Wade's 3rd year in the league is really outstanding, as he's stepping up at the PG position. Ranked 4th in assists in the leauge, Wade's ballhandling skills have never been this good. This could easily be his breakout year, playing alongside Shaq, Odom, Crawford and Haslem. Traded by the Lakers, Lamar Odom is also looking to prove his doubters wrong, as he's putting up All Star numbers with 20ppg, and 9rpg, while shooting 50% from the field. But let's get real folks, the obvious reason for this team's success is the Big Diesel. Shaq's performance is very dependant on the point guards, so it's not a surprise why he's having a good year as well, so far. If he can stay healthy and in shape, Miami can without a doubt take the Eastern conference crown. I expect this team to win at least 50 games this year, anything less is a dissapointment. Key Player: Shaquille O'Neal3.Team Name: Denver Nuggets Record: 4-1 Key wins: Mavericks and Spurs Key losses: 76ers - You might say that last year's performance that got the Nuggets into the playoffs was a miracle, but Melo and Co. look to make it twice as nice. Besides Melo, Kenyon Martin and Andre Miller are averaging 43 points combined, and Martin alone is ranked 2nd in the UBL in rebounds per game with 13.4 (only behind Timmay). Although they are slacking in the bench department, their starters will need to continue putting up these numbers if the Nuggets want to stay in the playoff seed range. Earl Boykins is the only player that lifts up the sweat and turns it into energy with his 5.6ppg in 10.8 minutes. A great coach like George Karl will need to pull out his best X's and O's to have this team continuing playing well with each other and not rely on their starters as much. No complains from the Mile High City, but I do suggest a improved bench that can contribute in any way possible. Key Player: Kenyon Martin4.Team Name: Seattle Supersonics Record: 6-2 Key wins: Pacers Key losses: Clippers - "He's worth it" said Sonics GM Jay commenting on Ray Allen's statistic. Putting up 31ppg, 6rpg, and 5apg, while shooting 55% from the field and 57%, yes 57% from the 3Point line will get you some recognition. Right now, he's looking like a MVP candidate, and it's his job to remain successful as a player and a team leader. Let's not sleep on the other stars in Seattle, Rashard Lewis and Antoine Walker are doing a solid job at the 3 and 4. Rookie Johan Petro isn't playing up to his potential right now, even though it doesn't affect the team, he will need to improve on his jumpshot and hookshots because shooting 37% as a Center will have your ass departed to the UBDL. This team has one of the best 2-3-4 punches in Allen, Lewis and Walker, but it's a mystery if they can remain this good for 82 games. Their preseason was misleading, but they will still need to prove that they can play with the baddest. Seattle, if everyone stayed healthy, could contend for a home court advantage spot when it's all said and done. Key Player: Ray Allen5.Team Name: Sacramento Kings Record: 5-2 Key wins: 76ers and Rockets Key losses: Nets - A rookie GM in Phatmatt, with a veterans mind. He's assembled a highly talented team to an already-talented Peja Stojakovic. Jamaal Magloire replaced Mike Miller, Steve Francis replaced Mike Bibby, and Ricky Davis replaced Cutino Mobley. The leader of the team remains Peja, and he's put up leader-like stats for this team in sim one. 30ppg and 6rpg from Peja and 19ppg, 8apg from Francis helped the Kings get passed highly favorites Rockets and the 76ers. Their wins against those two powerhouses averaged out to be a 22 point wins, which is something only they can say. They filled in a huge spot at the center position in aquiring Jamaal Magloire, who is doing a solid job with 13ppg and 9rpg. If the Kings can mantain their offensive slaughter, and have a slightly better defense, you surely will see them in the conference finals. The Kings can finally live up to their name. Key Player: Peja Stojakovic6.Team Name: Orlando Magic Record: 5-2 Key wins: Cavaliers Key losses: Heat - This team has changed a lot since the beginning of the season. Pau Gasol and Dwight Howard will be forces to reckon with for at least 3 more years if their GM decides to keep them together. Mike Bibby is taking care of the ball-sharing, but will need to pick up on the points once he finds his touch of the game in Orlando. Second year sophmore Dwight Howard is putting up great numbers, 17.7ppg and 11.6rpg, and those numbers can only rise from now on. The Magic will have a tough time fighting off teams like the 76ers and Heat in their division, so a home court advantage in the playoffs is not secure right now, but it all depends on how this team plays as a t.e.a.m. So far their doing it, Grant Hill is still producing enough and Doug Christie is contributing where he needs to be. I see this team being a 5th or 6th seed when it's all said and done just because of the competitiveness in the east right now. Key Player: Dwight Howard 7.Team Name: Phoenix Suns Record: 6-3 Key wins: Spurs and Suns Key losses: Lakers - If any record is misleading, it will have to be this one. Filled with superstars and potential, this team managed to loose close games. On a bright side, Amare is performing like a monster, and everyone around him are playing like they should. Captain Nash is averaging close to 10apg, which will probably increase in the next sim because he has a lot of guys to kick out. Joe Johnson and his mask are putting up 15 points a night, pretty decent for a 3rd option. The only piece left missing for this team to be complete is a respected center. If the Suns don't achieve anything this year, they will have to resign big man Stoudamire if they ever want to be title contenders again. That should be their number one priority after the season, but for now, concentrate on winning guys. Steve Nash is a top notch PG who can lead his team and is one of the most unselfish players that anyone can play with. Key Player: Amare Stoudamire8.Team Name: Philadelphia 76ers Record: 6-3 Key wins: Mavericks and Pacers Key losses: Jazz - So what changed in the Brotherly love city? That's right, Stephon Marbury. This 26ppg PG helps out Iverson tremendously, because A.I can finally go back to his position. 8th in scoring, Iverson looks to take the 76ers to where they were in 2001, the finals. The 76ers are a top offensive team in the league, but defensive wise? ehh, Samuel Dalembert. That's about it. He's not someone to laugh at but usually a good defensive team has their defense spread out, not just at one position. On a bright side, there's a star player on every position, and even backups. Al Harrington comes off the bench for 12ppg and 8rpg, can you say 6th man? Although their picks for next years draft are gone, they won't need them because A.I and Marbury have 4 more years of playing together, will there be a ring? Who knows, but for now, they look comfortable, should improve at home though. Key Player: Allen Iverson9.Team Name: Detroit Pistons Record: 7-4 Key wins: Rockets and Kings Key losses: Bulls and Nets - Co-Captains Chauncy Billups and Rip Hamilton continue to storm through the east. They failed to close out games on some occasions, but with experience, that shouldn't be a negative anymore. Ben Wallace's 3.4 blocks a night leads the league, but that's overshadowed by his lack of scoring abilities for the past few games. Scoring under 10 points in 5 games, Wallace's defensive aggression will have to be disected so he can contribute on the offense a little more often. Lidnsey Hunter as a backup is averaging decent numbers with 6ppg in 14 minutes. If they want to become champions again, Tayshaun Prince and Ben Wallace will need to be more aggressive on the offensive end. Defense never hurts, but if you're team can't score, you'll have to eventually give up on one aspect of the game. Key Player: Rip Hamilton10.Team Name: Indiana Pacers Record: 6-4 Key wins: Nets Key losses: Blazers and Hawks - Jeff Foster's MVP performances need to stop already, he's making the UBL look like a youth YMCA summer league. All jokes aside, Jermaine O'neal is also a MVP candidate so far, 31ppg (1st in UBL), 12rpg and 2.7bpg. If it wasn't for Q-Rich's injury that caused him to miss 4 games, and 8 days remaining until he comes back, the Pacers would definately be a top 5 team in the league. Artest's sad departure is met by Michael Redd's ability to shoot out the lights in the arena at any given moment. Averaging 21ppg, Redd finally has a dominating big man that he can rely on each night to help out when double and triple teams meet him. Like I said, this team is very underrated and needs to be taken seriously, chea kid. Key Players: Jermaine O'neal

11.Team Name: Dallas Mavericks Record: 5-4 Key wins: Rockets, Spurs, Sonics and Pistons Key losses: Warriors - Baller didn't make any changes to this team, so it's no wonder why the record speaks for itself. Let's just say without Dirk the German, the Mavs are like they used to be before the new millenium. So far, the entire team is underperforming, but that's expected to change as they welcome a easier and less hectic schedule. They are very inconsistent and haven't really clicked as a whole team yet, experience will take care of that. Although they are outside the top 4 in the west, it could become even worse if Baller doesn't make changes to this team. Key Player: Dirk the German12.Team Name: New Orleans Hornets Record: 5-4 Key wins: Mavericks Key losses: Celtics - This team is run by 2 rookies and 1 sophmore, so a 5 and 4 record is pretty good based on that. However, besides that, they do not have skilled veterans that can help out on the scoring and teaching them the fundamentals of basketball. If their GM keeps the core of the big 3, he shouldn't have a problem adding veteran talent next year because there's a lot of cap space for this team to sign someone special. Next year will be better than this year, I guarantee you that. Key Player; Chris Paul13.Team Name: Cleveland Cavaliers Record: 5-4 Key wins: Suns Key losses: Nets - The Kings' new team look to have a promising season this year. Larry Hughes and LeBron James are one of the top backcourt in the league, and their stats make that a fact. Big Z in the paint is doing a great job, scoring at will and physically overpowering smaller centers. Cavs will need 1 more missing piece at the SF position to really be on the same page and move up the playoff seeds. Right now their holding on the last place, but if they begin playing some defense, that could change and possibly move into home court territory. Key Player: LeBron James14.Team Name: Portland Trailblazers Record: 6-5 Key wins: Spurs, Rockets and Pacers Key losses: Lakers - They brought in some youth in Jarret Jack, Josh Childress and Martell Webster, but they gave up a potential superstar in Sebastian Telfair. The Blazers will need to add a scoring big man because all their points are coming from the backcourt. Jarret Jack's rookie year is going great with 15/5/6 a night, a possible candidate for ROTY. Jeff McInnis is shooting close to 50% from the field and Derek Anderson is doing a solid job as a reserve for Webster with 7 points a night. They have the bench, but right now things are looking shaky even though their top 15. Key Player: Josh Childress15.Team Name: Memphis Grizzlies Record: 4-4 Key wins: Rockets Key losses: Clippers - 6 Players are averaging double digits in scoring but they only manage to average 92 points as a team. What does that tell you? Yes, Brian Cardinal is the only one worth mentioning that comes off the bench. With Nelson, Warrick and Vazquez, I'd expect a better record, but they combined haven't been in the league for 5 years, so you'll have to be patient with them. Nelson will eventually develop into a top 10 PG if he stays healthy, and Warrick will give you his athletic plays each game. The Grizzlies might seem soft on paper, but they got the heart of a lion. Key Player: Fran Vazquez16.Team Name: Washington Wizards Record: 5-5 Key wins: Spurs Key losses: Raptors - Damn, can you say potential? 9 players have B or A potential on this team, and yes, I know it's scouted. Arenas, Butler, and Jaminson will no doubt grow up and become 15+point players but it will take time. The surprise of this team is Brandon Haywood's 14 points per game as a non option. This guy has grown up since his rookie year and there's no signs of stopping. Caron's coming off the bench is something I question though, because he's only getting 9 minutes a game but still manages to score over 4 points. Anyways, the east has improved so I don't see this team making the playoffs, close but not in it. Key Player: Gilbert Arenas17.Team Name: Golden State Warriors Record: 2-2 Key wins: Mavericks Key losses: Blazers - They only played 4 games but against 2 tough opponents, the Mavs and Spurs (1-1). A blow to Baron Davis' injury caused a .500 record, and with even more bad news, Troy Murphy broke his skull and is out for at least 43 days. Jason Richardson's stiff neck will put him on the IR for 3 more days before starting again. They could probably have had a 4-0 record but their season tipped off with a injury plague. As soon as the main factors come back and put on the jersey, the Warriors will be just fine. Although a Playoff seed isn't guaranteed, especially with Murphy out for that long, Baron and Richardson are capable of pulling off a miracle. Key Player: Baron Davis18.Team Name: Minnesota Timberwolves Record: 4-5 Key wins: Rockets Key losses: Blazers - The trade with the Kings isn't looking good right now. Manu is averaging 12ppg and Mahinmi is playing behind Garnett. Speaking of Garnett, he's having another MVP season and it wouldn't surprise me if he did win it. Although the record doesn't look pretty, KG is known to put his team on his back and make a late playoff push. Wally hasn't been uplifting either, but the Kandy Man looks good, for now. Bottom line is, Cassell and Manu will have to average over 15 points a game if they wanna play in the playoffs. KG doesn't want another year to be a waste, so I expect him to put up god-like numbers once again. Key Player: Kevin Garnett19.Team Name: Houston Rockets Record: 5-6 Key wins: Magic, Pistons, and Suns Key losses: Blazers and Grizzlies - Disspointing start to a so-called Championship team. Bona sure filled up the roster with talent, but only Skinner and McGrady are playing up to their potential. Jason Williams' TO ratio is a surprisingly 9:2, and 47% from the field. McGrady could finally escape the 1st round curse, but it's going to take dedication from not only him, but Yao, Swift and everyone else. Ming's performances have been below average for his callibur, so that's one aspect the Rockets will need to take care of if they want to see W's on the statsheet. Right now, they still look like a dangerous team, and Im pretty sure nobody wants to face them in the playoffs, if they make it. Key Player: Tracy McGrady20.Team Name: New Jersey Nets Record: 3-5 Key wins: Kings and Pistons Key losses: None - This is not a surprise at all. A team with all the offense but no defense, what did you expect. Jason Kidd is the best PG in the league, but even he is suffering right now. The addition of Shareef in the off season sure brought some help inside, he's averaging close to 20ppg. The Nets will need to bring in a defensive stopper at at least 3 different positions if they want to compete. Right now, they might have a good seaon, but they'll get destroyed in a 7 game series. Key Player: Jason Kidd

21.Team Name: Los Angeles Clippers Record: 3-5 Key wins: Sonics Key losses: Jazz - Nothing much expect Corey Maggette and Elton Brand. They average 42 points a game, and youngster Livingston is handling the situation at PG just good enough. I don't see much happening for this team this year, trades are indeed necessary. Key Player: Elton Brand22.Team Name: Utah Jazz Record: 3-6 Key wins: 76ers Key losses: Lakers - AK47, Boozer and Okur are really carrying this team with some youth here and there. Kirilenko is one of the best all around players you'll see, but his defense will need to pick up some slack. Boozer is doing a great job considering he's in the same position as KG, Duncan and Amare. For the Jazz as a team though, Im going to hope this is their worst few games of the season because Im not sure what they're capable of doing. Key Player: Andre Kirilenko23.Team Name: San Antonio Spurs Record: 2-5 Key wins: Warriors Key losses: Blazers - Must have been a really bad sim for the Spurs because I can't see them this low in the standings in the near future. Tim Duncan alone should land them a playoff spot, and with Parker and Miller at the PG and C, a home court seed should be nothing but expected. This team will definately make a run at it in the next sim. Key Player: Tim Duncan24.Team Name: Atlanta Hawks Record: 2-5 Key wins: Pacers and Heat Key losses: None - Not suprised here, because a team with that much young talent won't get you far right away. Three years from now when Telfair, Smith, Marvin, Chandler and Curry develop into their potential, or get close to it, the Hawks can be the sickest team in the league. Right now though, their infected with the youth-syndrome. Key Player: Eddy Curry25.Team Name: Boston Celtics Record: 2-6 Key wins: Hornets Key losses: Grizzlies - Their rotation needs a change and it's visible by some questionable starting position. I think Marcus Banks should be the starting PG, Green as the 2 and Pierce playing his comfortable position at SF. Their GM has a lot of changes ahead in order to fix this turmoil. Key Player: Paul Pierce26.Team Name: Los Angeles Lakers Record: 3-8 Key wins: Suns Key losses: Clippers, Grizzlies, and Sonics - What can you say, their clearly rebuilding for the future. Kobe Bryant is not playing his best ball though, averaging 25 a game. That should quickly go up looking at his team, and he's probably going to lead the league in scoring this year. Next year will be their real 1st year though. Key Player: Kobe Bryant27.Team Name: Toronto Raptors Record: 2-7 Key wins: Wizards Key losses: Knicks - Eww... 28.Team Name: New York Knicks Record: 1-8 Key wins: Raptors Key losses: none - Double Eww...Mike Sweetney and Channing Frye are carrying this team, nowere. Nate Robinson's performances have been good, although not pleasing the NY fans. Tim Thomas is out for 7 days with a sprained wrist, will that effeft his shooting forum? we'll see, nothing much going in the Big Apple though.
