Vetoes suck. You spend 4 hours dealing with a GM then you wake up and the deals been vetoed. In other words, we are saying to the league "Dont try and go out and get a really good deal because we will vetoe it". It's a lil thing called integrity. And keeping completely ridiculous deals from going through helps the league...no matter how much the 'rapist' cries. If you can't help your team by making a fair trade, you don't need to be making trades. -Dre Eh? Is it your fault that you happen to talk the other dude into the deal? or that he happened to offer you such a horrible deal. I get what your saying and I agree there does need to be a veto rule but don't make it so strict. |

Doesnt sound so strick to me.. basically completly horrible deals wont go through.. that doesnt mean every deal wont

vetoes create problems. Like in one league a GM quit cause "the deal was veoted because of salarys" also they create problems cause some commishs have grudges on GM's

Which is why either a certain number of veto votes puts it up for discussion, and then one or more person(s) has the final say on whether it goes through.
It's not strict..it's just so shit like the stuff that's happened wit Duncan throughout his whole career don't happen.
If something like this causes problems, then we don't need the people who have problems wit it in the league. It's completely fair, necessary, & simple. If you can't handle it..leave. It's a very small part of any league, and is not a big deal at all.

I understand what you're saying, but that's not the point. People act like a veto is a punishment for the GM getting the great end of the deal. It's not. No, it's not your fault you talked him into it, but that doesn't mean that the deal should go through (if it's bad enough). Vetoes are for the benefit of the league, not benefits for the GM getting raped, or a rule to hinder the GM doing the raping. -Dre |

and while we're on the subject of transactions killing the league, transactions that put teams over the hard cap should not be allowed, IMO.

veto's should be allowed to an extent....not to be overused only in completely lopsided trades that have pretty much no meaning for the retard who got raped
