1. Boston Celtics
- Sure, with over 12 million in cap space, they have the chance to sign a Superstar potential player at any position, but asides from that, with their number 1 overall pick, the postion where they really look weak is at the Center spot. So who's respectable at the Center position? Nobody, that's right. Everyone sucks in this year's draft class. So let's look into the Power Forward category, and there he is. Josh Boone. Mr. Boone impressed many scouts during the 2 draft class games that were held earlier this week, and his stock has risen for sure. The Celtics could offer the 12 mill to a good center (coughShaqcough) and draft Boone. What a team that would be. Good young and athletic players running around Shaq? Woooo...
2. New Orleans Hornets
- Damn this team has a potentially-sick backcourt in Chris Paul, Rashad McCants, and J.R Smith. If I was the Nawleans, I'd draft LeMarcus Aldridge not based on looking at the ratings, but simply because of his performances in the draft class games. This guy tore it up...in the first game he had 15 points, 14 rebounds, and 9 assists. His team won. Then, in the second game...he received MVP honors with 28 points and 15 rebounds, but his team won. He remainds me of Dwight Howards' rookie season, a double double threat type of person.
3. Memphis Grizzlies
- This team actually looks too good to be in the draft to begin with, but with that said, they already have Troy Muprhy and Fran Vazquez as big men, no centers, but still good big men. I would go with the "draft the best player available" mode here, and pick up Rudy Gay. This 6'8" SF has the best defense in this draft class, and his offense isn't a joke either. Sure the Grizzlies already have Jason Richardson and Brian Cardinal at the SF spot, but they can trade either one of the two, and get a good true center to make their lineup complete. This is a killer team that will be making noise next season, you heared it first from me.
4. Los Angeles Lakers
- Well the highly demanded Center spot isn't needed here. Marty and Bynum will have plenty of time to shine, and Kobe's not giving up his starting spot at the SG, and neither is Wafer as backup. A Point Guard is what this team needs, so they should be targeting Raymond Felton. A guard that can play defense and handle the ball well. Any PG over Sasha Vujacic is an upgrade really, and Raymond would fill that 1 spot real nice in the Lakers.
5. Chicago Bulls
- This team needs a repair, makeover, and a new go to guy. I would recommend Darius Washington, if he isn't picked yet by above teams, because he will bring the scoring no doubt, what I doubt is his defense. He tends to be real lazy on that part of the game, but makes up on the offensive end. Barbosa isn't a bad PG, not at all, but he's better as a backup, so bringing in a household name that can sell tickets as well in Darius Washington can only be a right move. Good luck to this team.
6. Atlanta Hawks
- This team, justl ike the Hornets, have a couple of young studs settled already. Sergio Rodriguez would look sexy in a Hawks jersey, not just because of the Black/Red colors, but because he would spice things up in the Point Guard department. Neither of the current Hawks PGs have played a single minute in the UBL last year, so you can call them rookies. Sergio would be a perfect fit for this team.
7. New York Knicks
- Marco Belinelli is the closest thing to a good SF. No he's not a SF but his size is comparable. The Knicks do not have any SFs, but with cap space with over 25 million, anything is possible. This team is as predictable as Lil Jon on crack.
8. Los Angeles Clippers
- Take the best player available and go with Hassan Adams, because you can always trade away for a different spot. This tactic usually works out well for most GMs because there are a few teams that have good players at positions you don't have, and trading a player where you wouldn't loose that much for a player that would make an impact on your team only makes sense. Yes, this is hard to understand for some of you.
9. Portland Trail Blazers
- Can you say Potential? Damn wtf... 9 scouted A potentials, that's crazy. Anyways, this team is in need of a SG, so selecting JJ Reddick, a player who can shoot the fucking lights out at any moment, will help out another "JJ" (Jarrett Jack). They were rivals in college, but can they coexist at the pro level? they better if they wanna smell victory.
10. Toronto Raptors
- The Raptors should be looking at Point Guards during this draft, and Sylvester Mayes stands out when you're at the 10th pick. Could be the steal of the draft because he doesn't get that much publicity compared to other guys. Mayes has a respectable inside/outside game and his size will overpower most of the NBA's point guards.
