Note these were done longtime ago but play never sent his answers and I just remember I had these in my inbox. Plus it wouldn't be fair if Nbaballer never got his points.
InfamousDane: 1. Fact or Fiction. Putting all this to rest Gibson is far ahead of Earl Clark period. Earl Clark might have the rebounding ability, however scoring, defense, steals, and almost every other aspect of the game Gibson is far superior then Earl Clark.
Nbaballer: Fact, Daniel Gibson in a few years will be the top pg in the UBL. That's how good I think he will become. The guy can do alot of things. Nothing against Earl Clark, who will also become a star, but Gibson outshines Clark in every catergory except maybe steals and rebounds. If Clark can work on his shot, than maybe he will surpass Gibson.
Have things changed now in 2009? Is Gibson still better then Earl Clark?
InfamousDane: 2 Fact or Fiction. The Suns losing in the Playoffs was no surprise. Trading Pau Gasol, and getting Kwame back as their starting PF was the biggest mistake ever made this season.
Nbaballer: Fiction, The Suns lost a tough series to the Rockets and even though Pau is a beast, Kwame can hold his ground and getting Simmons in the deal was nice as well. This was not the biggest mistake made this season, that belongs to the Kings because they traded Duncan for Adam Morrison. Bad Trade. After getting Duncan from the Spurs for Okafor, Outlaw, and others, he then trades TD for Morrison. If he wanted youth, why trade Okafor for TD in the first place?
Pau Gasol has now switched teams twice since his time with the Mavericks.
InfamousDane: 3. Fact or Fiction. Even though the Golden State Warriors have Greg Oden, they will never be a good team in the UBL. They will be just like the Bulls were in the NBA.
Nbaballer: Fact, The first year of UBL they had a great nucleus of Baron, Jrich, and Troy. They then decided to go in the youth movement direction and ended up getting Greg Oden, whos a beast. They have young talent, but how good they can become is a huge question mark. They have cap, but so do alot of teams and a winning franchise attracts FAs. They are a few years away from playoff contention, or maybe even more. The NBA Bulls traded away guys like Brand, Artest, Miller, etc which is a great nucleus and went with youth. It took a long time for them to start winning and I see the Warriors as the same way.
Richard Jefferson has now moved onto the Atlanta Hawks who have become much better.
InfamousDane: 4. Fact or Fiction. The Celtics will always be a young team that can't do anything. With Richard Jefferson being shipped off for more young talent, this is proven that James is just to scared to try and compete.
Nbaballer: Fiction, This young team won 41 games this year and will only get better. A core of Gibson, Green, Wright, Jefferson, Aldridge, etc is full of potential. If they have a productive offseason and fill some holes, they can definitely be a playoff team next year, barring any significant injuries.
5. Fact or Fiction. The Memphis Grizzles will never be an elite team even though they have Baron Davis, Paul Pierce, Jason Richardson and Drew Gooden.
Nbaballer: Fact, Pierce is a free agent and has no loyalty to his old team. They have no depth upfront and when Mark Blount is your starting C, you know you have problems. If they cant resign people like Pierce, they are in trouble. They only have 4 players under contract and they take up close to 50 mill in cap. Dark roads ahead for the Grizzlies. I think this is the perfect time for them to start rebuilding, cause they are not going anywhere with this team.
Paul Pierce has become a big time star in the UBL.
6. Fact or Fiction. Victor Claver and Ante Tomic are going to be busts from last years draft. In fact, I expect them to bust all over the 76ers face after TC. Even though they might be solid, they won't be as great as play expected.
Nbaballer: Fiction, I would not call them busts just yet. Give them a TC and another year under their belt and then if they don't produce, the "bust" label will start to have some merit to it. Until then give it some time. They have potential to become good players.
After, being called a bust Victor has improved a lot with the 76ers.
7. Fact or Fiction. Serigo, Gibson, Earl Clark, will be among the top 5 best point guards in 3 seasons tops. Even though Earl and Serigo have a long way to go in 3 years they will all be top 5 point guards in the league.
Nbaballer: Fact, With the premier PGs getting older, these three young studs will emerge as the top PGs of UBL. They are all still very young and are putting up great numbers as of now. In 3 years, the skies the limit for them. Unless they get seriously injured or meet the same fate as the late Udonis Haslem, I like there chances to become bonafide stars.
8. Fact or Fiction. With the Wizards advancing to the 2nd round look for them to be an another championship game. Expect them to give the team in the finals a good run for their moeny and be the 1st team to ever win 2 championships in the UBL.
Nbaballer: Fiction, Even though I think they are a great team, they have the tough task of stopping the likes of Duncan, Miller, and Shaq or JO. It is on the shoulders of Etan Thomas, Haywood, and Damp to stop those guys. If they can, they have a great shot of making it to the finals, where they might face Tmac and Yao, Lebron, Ak, Curry, and Boozer, and KG. I just dont see the Wizards being able to overcome there next 3 opponents, if they make it to the finals, and winning another championship.
Things have changed in King land now.
InfamousDane: 9. Fact or Fiction. The Kings GM Mattphat is crazy we all know that. However, do you think the Kings will ever be a playoff team again? Or will Matt get bored every year at the 40 game mark and demolish his team.
Nbaballer: Fact, The Kings have some great players in Hinrich, and Gordon, as well guys like Frye and Morrison. If they can resign Ben, and keep this team in tact and not make bad trades, they can be a playoff team in a year or two. The West is a tough conference and will take the Kings alot to get in, but they do have a shot.
InfamousDane: 10. Fact or Fiction. With Andrew Bogut and Jarret Jack suffering career threating injuries. They won't develop as much as their respect teams would want them to. Don't expect either of them to make a big impact in this league ever.
Nbaballer: Fiction, It all depends on how much potential they lose. If they lose alot, I dont see Jack getting any better. As for Bogut, even if he does lose alot of potential, I still see him being a productive player in this league. Good big men are a rare commodity and where ever Bogut goes, I see him getting PT. Whether or not he's an impact player remains to be seen.
Andrew Bogut, hasn't been as productive as he was suppose to be.
