WASHINGTON -- The USA Basketball Olympic Committee, also known as Play34Basketball, has announced three new members of Team USA Basketball late Saturday night. Dwight Howard, Chris Paul, and Ben Gordon will all be representing the USA in the olympics, as the United States attempts to take back the gold.
Howard will likely come off the bench, serving as a valuable spark plug. He and Chandler should see a large amount of time in the frontcourt together off the bench, and will form one of the best rebounding and defensive combos seen in quite some time.
Gordon will come off the bench to spell Gilbert Arenas, as Team USA hopes he will provide a similar 4th quarter spark as he did for the Bulls in his rookie year. Gordon is known for his clutch play in the 4th quarter, and though he won't be starting he'll certainly be finishing games. Expect Gordon to make a huge impact for this team off the bench.
Chris Paul is the only of the newly named group who will have a starting role on the team. A proven leader, scorer, and defender, Paul truely can do it all. He can go inside to score, or go outside. He can run a fast break offense, or become a distributer in the half court. Paul's versitility allows the team to use any game-style they please.
Two spots remain on Team USA, and it will be voted on soon as to who will get in. I personally think Carlos Boozer deserves a shot, he represents America in everyway. Isn't America about backing out of agreements to allow someone to make more money somewhere else? Carlos Boozer is an American hero.

Thas right...Paul's reppin the U.S.
Also, considering Dalembert holds a Canadian citizenship (he went to school here in Montreal)...I think he should be placed on the Canadian roster if he isn't going to be used on any other team.
