After an obvious not-so-successful season last year with the Lakers, Kobe Bryant went into his locker room, changed into street clothes, got in his car and listened to Tupac hits. Not the usual thing a player of his callibur would do if they went through a 29-53 season. Teammates of Kobe told our sources that he didn't want to talk with anybody, but didn't really seem mad at all, just strange. What was going through Kobe's mind that made him act this way? Was he having marrige problems? Vanessa spoke on it and said "our sex life is awsome, I couldn't ask for a better penis". Kobe himself wasn't available to comment on this but we're suspecting it has to be the lack of support he got from teammates during the entire season. The 2nd option for most of the year was Drew Gooden, a respectable PF that gives 100% ever game, but GM Hammi traded him during the all star break, and now Kobe was alone.
Kobe fans have been wondering where his offensive killer instinct and defensive pwnage have gone. No answers so far. Now he didn't have a dissapointing season stat-wise, 29ppg, 6.7rpg, 4.4apg which is something not many can claim. His jersey sold 58th overall last year, behind Cutino Mobley, Shawn Bradley, and Popey Jones, who retired 5 seasons ago. We sat down with Kobe for a exclusive interview, see what he had to say...
Reporter: What was the best thing that happened during last season?
Kobe: We've held on to that pick, you know. This year's draft class has mega talent and even if we have the 10th pick, it's enough for me. Weather it's a PG, a SF, a PF, or a C, I can work with him. Im really looking forward to lifting this team and becoming title contenders yet again, it's my number one goal right now.
Reporter: Shaq and the Heat were serious favorites to win it all this year, but the Cavs managed to go by them and now are looking for their first franchise title against the Wizards. Do you think LeBron's inexperience will halter that dream or does it matter with a guy like Bron?
Kobe: He's a special kid with special abilities. Honestly, besides MJ he's the only other player that made a mark on the NBA so early. It took me a couple of early years and got it eventually, but this guy came out of the draft pool, and began dominating. I always mark the calendar when we play the Cavs, I love playing against him.
Reporter: GM Hammi brought in another highly potential good center in Marty. Bynum and Marty shared minutes during the season, and both looked the same, with Marty having a better stats sheet overall. Do you think either one of them will be traded or does Hammi want to experiment with these guys around you?
Kobe: I have no idea, I don't handle the management, that's up to Hammi. If it was up to me, I'd keep them both and put Bynum at PF. They what? both under 20 years old and the potential is crazy, so I wouldn't mind if they both stayed. Having good big men in the league is rare, and these two are developing into becoming nasty big men. Im talking about Alanzo Morning in his prime type of nasty.
Reporter: What are your goals for this off season?
Kobe: Im definately going to work on my game, no doubt about that. Mostly Im gonna concentrate on my defesnse... I've been gettin a lot of heat last year when we were down by 5 with 2 minutes left, I would just relax and concentrate on the offensive end. Phil Jackson will be a great addition, I know him he knows me. I can't wait to play for him.
Reporter: You got Mason and Anderson with you next year, unless Hammi decides to trade them away, how will they fit in the rotation Phil has designed for this team?
Kobe: Im sure he has important roles for them, one of them will probably back me up, depending on who we draft this year.
