Player: Rudy Gay SF 6'8'' 222 22 B C+ C A- C A
Team: Chicago Bulls
Comments: Some GMs around the league have complained that Gay is nothing special, but to me there's no way he shouldn't have gone #1. He's the best player in the draft, and although Aldridge may be a big, his will to improve was in question. A solid bigman is nice, but at number 1 you have to aim for a superstar. Thats why Dwight Howard went 1 in 2004, not Emeka Okafor.

Player: Adam Morrison SF 6'8'' 215 21 B- B+ C C C+ A
Team: New Orlenas Hornets
Comments: Interesting pick by the Hornets, seeing how they already have JR Smith and Rashad McCants on the wings. Even so, Morrison is a throw back player who reminds many of Larry Bird. Then again, the last Larry Bird comparision was made to Mike Dunleavy Jr. and he's been nothing but an average player in the NBA. Personally I think Aldridge would have been the best pick here, but knowing James' has Morrison in NBAE has to be taken into account as well.

Player: Darius Washington PG 6'2'' 185 19 B B C C D A
Team: Sacramento Kings
Comments: With an already blessed frontcourt featuring Zach Randolph and Fran Vazquez, the Kings had no need for a guy like Aldridge and added the player with one of the the highest ceilings in the draft in Darius Washington. Darius is an excellent scorer, but will have to work on his defense and passing skills if he's going to make it in this league. He's far too small to play shooting guard, so an improvement in the passing department is what will make or break Washington's career. To me he's an all or nothing player, he'll either be a superstar or another Dajuan Wagner. I think Mayes would have been the best pick here, a pure PG would have made more sense.
Grade: C-

Player: Raymond Felton PG 6'1'' 199 21 C+ C B B- D A
Team: Los Angeles Lakers
Comments: Felton is a very good player and should develup into a good starting PG in the league. However with Sylvester Mayes who's taller, younger, a better defender, and a better scorer still available he would appear to be the obvious pick. Even so, the Lakers were in love with Felton from day 1, so this is no surprise, but I would have been curious to see how far Felton could have slipped if the Lakers hadn't taken him.

Player: LeMarcus Aldridge PF 6'11'' 225 20 B C C B B B
Team: Boston Celtics
Comments: The Celtics made a brilliant draft day trade to get rid of Lafrentz' contract while moving out of the #1 spot in the draft. To get Aldridge at the 5th pick is a steal, he may be the most valuable player in the draft simply because he's ready to start right away at just 20 years old and is a big man. Great pick by the Celtics, they're one of my winners in the draft.
Grade: A+

Player: Josh Boone PF 6'10'' 237 20 B- D+ C- B+ B+ B
Team: Atlanta Hawks
Comments: With the best big in the draft now off the board, the Hawks settle for Boone, who's the better defender and rebounder, though he struggles offensivly. Boone will be a solid starter in the league, but the chance of him develuping into a star is slim. Even so, on a potential packed Hawks team some stability should be nice.
Grade: B+

Player: Torin Francis PF 6'11'' 252 21 B- D+ C B B A
Team: Atlanta Hawks
Comments: The Hawks took big men with back to back picks, not a bad idea since they have young studs at the guard and small forward positions already. Francis flew under the radar a bit, and looks like he could be the best big man in the draft when all is said and done. His will to improve has been questioned however, and that in the end will determine whether or not this was a good selection.
Grade: B

Player: Sylvester Mayes PG 6'2'' 190 20 B- C B- B C- A
Team: Los Angeles Clippers
Comments: Sylvester should have been on a different LA team much earlier, but i'm sure the Clippers are glad the Lakers passed on him. Mayes belonged as a top 5 pick, and could have gone as high as #2, so for him to drop to 8 should make the Clippers very pleased. Even with Livingston already at the point, there's no way Mayes could be passed on here.
Grade: A

Player: Hassan Adams SG 6'4'' 200 22 B- B- B- B- C- B
Team: Cleveland Cavaliers
Comments: Adams would have a chance at going #1 next year if he had waited to declare, so to get him at #9 i s a good value pick. Adams may not turn into a superstar, but he'll be a great 3rd option in the league for many years to come, he's a safe pick and a good one.

Nemanja Aleksandrov PF 6'10'' 220 18 C+ C+ C+ B- C A
Team: Toronto Raptors
Comments: Nemanja just may be the best player in the draft when all is said and done, but fact is he's a risky project pick. Even so at this point in the draft if there's even a remote chance of grabbing a superstar you have to take it, so I feel the raptors made a good selection here.
Grade: B+

Player: Sergio Rodriguez PG 6'3'' 170 19 C+ C+ C+ C C- A
Team: Cleveland Cavaliers
Comments: With a slew of young pg's already on the Cavs, this pick doesn't make a ton of sense to me. Even if the Cavs wanted another PG, Danilo Gallinari is a year younger, 6 inches taller, every bit as good, and knowing James is Italian means he probably has higher potential. I don't see why the Cavs took Rodriguez over him. Rodriguez may be a very good player in this league, but to me the pick just doesnt make the most sense to me.
Grade: C

Player: JJ Reddick SG 6'4'' 190 21 C- A- C C- C- B
Team: Golden State Warriors
Comments: Picking Kyle Korver's clone in the lottery is stupid plain and simple. JJ may be a good shooter, but he'll always be one dimensional offensivly, and he's a horrid defender.
Grade: F

Player: Danilo Gallinari PG 6'9'' 190 18 C C+ C+ C C A
Team: Utah Jazz
Comments: (By InsaneRadical) With the 13th pick in the draft, repole shores up his point guard position with 6'9 project Danilo Gallinari. Perhaps not the most polished player, but scouts already have him touted as the player with the most potential to improve in the draft. He brings fairly average physical tools to the table, but he should be able to use his size fairly well. I think there were better players on the table, but the Jazz could afford to develop Gallinari with Deron already on board.
