Earlier today GM PhatMatt aquired SG Ben Gordon from the Nets for Veteran Steve Francis and Shareef Abdur-Rahim. In doing this deal Gordon gets a chance to reunite and play alongside Emeka Okafor once again.
When Ben was told of the news that he was bein shipped to Sac-town, he was trilled. He said that Meka and him have been best friends since his Freshman season at UCONN.
Gordon says that he is packin his bag and moving to Sacremento so that Meka and himself can start practicing together and get back into the rutine of playing alongside his old teamate. Gordon was quoted for saying "MEKA is my best friend, we play together and hang out together". Gordon also adds "this is a chance of a lifetime, how many people make it to the NBA level, and out of them, how many are playing along side with there best friend, I feel like a lucky man, and am glad GM PhatMatt brought me here".
Now all the Kings fans are wonderin about now is, can Gordon and Okafor brings a championchip to Sacremento, like they did for Uconn.
GM Matt is quoted "If our youth can stick together and create sound chemistry, i think with soung pg play from Dwash and Defense from Frye we will be on our way to the top, but it takes time."
Dwash was trilled of hearin the trade news and thinks that we have a brilliant youth core. He loves havin the option to pass to Gordon, Meka,Frye, or take a shot. Channing Frye was stated sayin "Ill in the paint hustlin for every ball and playin my best defense. Me and Meka are a force to be reckon with in the low post, so that will make it that much easier for Gordon and Washington from long distance."
