Lets start off in the East where we have Lemarcus Aldrige starting for the Boston Celtics. Picked 5th by Boston, LeMarcus is currently averaging an impressive 12.8ppg, 11.4rpg, 3.1apg and 1.3bpg. His numbers are very reminisent of a young Ben Wallace and has definetly proved to be a top pick.
Selected 3rd by Sacramento and then traded to Indiana for Michael Redd, the much antitpated first sim for Darius Washington concluded with him averaging a healthy 15.0ppg and 3.6rpg. Washington's assists and steals per game are a bit of a worry at the moment, however there is a lot of signs pointing towards a succesful and possible rookie of the year campaign for the young man who came straight out of High School.
Taken 2nd by New Orleans was small forward scoring sensation Adam Morrision. After finishing training camp with ratings described as 'out of this world', Morrision has proved his ratings correct by putting up 15.6ppg and 6.1rpg on the 4-5 New Orleans Hornets alongside JR Smith, Rashaad McCants and Chris Paul.
The man that began his college year mocked at #20 is currently putting up stellar averages of 14.2ppg, 4.3rpg and 4.5apg in Cleveland - Hassan Adams. In the Cleveland back court alongside Jarret Jack, Hassan is a true scoring shooting guard and has shown why it was a correct decision to ake him inside the top 10.
Moving onto both Torin Francis and Josh Boone, picked 6th and 7th respectivly by the Atlanta Hawks. Both Torin and Josh arent putting up big scoring numbers (6ppg), however are dominating on the rebound catogory, delighting their GM averaging 19.0rpg combined.
Rudy Gay, the first player selected in the first ever UBL draft is averaging a very respectable and satisfying 14.8ppg, 5.3rpg, 4.5apg and 1.3spg. His averages represent an all round versayile player such as Grant Hill. After a few more seasons, I can see Gay being labeled as an all round superstar.
The over hyped Danilo Gallinari is currently averaging 0.0ppg and 0.0apg for the UBL Jazz. Instead, the 'steal of the draft' is playing in the UBDL. Whats happening Repole?
The Clippers Sylvester Mayes who was nabbed at number 8 is playing 18 minutes and averaging 7, 4 and 3. Decent numbers, however playing behind Shaun Livingston isnt a great start to his future considering most of the rookies selected within the lottery are starting for their team.
Selected 4th by the LA Lakers, the man who under peroformed in the pre draft camps is averaging 15.3ppg, 6.7apg and 2.0spg, asserting himself as deserving to be taken so high. Playing alongside the leagues best player in Kobe Bryant, Felton will undoubtebly learn and continue to get better until he develops into one of the leagues premier point guards.
