The Detroit Pistons, once a championship calibre team - now a rebuilding franchise. From Ben Wallace to Andrew Bynum, Rasheed Wallace to Charlie Villanueva; this team has gone through as much change as anyone could even imagine. Change was inviteable however, and Detroit fans are looking at this as a new era... a era of the new generation of UBL players.
ANDREW BYNUM C 19 7'0'' 280 B- C- D+ B B- A
As GM Bilal has said on numerous occasions, Mr. Bynum is the centerpiece of this franchise. Often referred to as the "next tim duncan", he has absolutely DOMINATED the UBDL thus far with averages of 26 and 11. The Pistons coaching staff will look to further improve his skills by possibly sending him to a big man camp at some point this season.
Charlie Villanueva SF 21 6'11'' 237 B B- C B+ C+ B
Traded for Richard Hamilton in order to proceed with the youth movement, Villanueva has been outstanding with averages of 15ppg and 8rbs. Considering this is only his 2nd year, Charlie is already living up to his Lamar Odom comparisions.. and he has yet to reach his full potential.
Sean May PF 22 6'8'' 260 C+ C- C B B+ A
Recently obtained from the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Quentin Richardson, Sean May looks to bounce back from his shitty start to his rookie season. Drafted 14th, he has struggled ever since putting up 5ppg and 7rpg in limited minutes. The fans are blaming GM Hammi for not giving May UBDL time but hopefully he can prove what hes worth when givin minutes here in Detroit. Combined with Andrew Bynum he should complete a deadly frontcourt for years to come.
Darko Milicic C 21 7'1'' 245 C+ C D B C+ A
Darko, Darko, DARKO! Oh man this mother fucker has pissed off Detroit fans relentlessly from the moment he was selected 2nd overall over players like Carmelo, Wade, and Bosh. However, GM Bilal hasnt completely givin up hope, Darko still has A potential and plenty of room to grow. Given about 1 or 2 more seasons the Pistons are expecting him to be a solid contributor in this league.
Allen Iverson SG 30 6'0'' 165 B+ A- A- A- D+ B
Allen Fucking Iverson... the answer to every solution. What the hell is he doing on this Detroit team you may ask? Well, every franchise needs a superstar - and Bilal has said many times that Iverson is a "untradable asset." Look for AI to have a nice playoff run with this team givin 1 more season.
2007 Detroit Pistons First
The target here is obviously Greg Oden, however any top 5 pick would be nice.. look for the Pistons to draft a stellar PG.
2007 Indiana Pacers First
As of now its looking to be around 15, however probably not for long.. the Pistons will be drafting the best swingman here most likely.
Expirings
Projected to have about 15 million in expiring, the Pistons will look to add either another superstar, or some solid talent to place around the young studs.
