Myself and Play sat down today (yesterday) and created a list of the 50 most 'untradeable' players in the UBL. In writing this article we considered the following aspects; stats, ratings, success, age, potential, position, dominance and perceived trade value. Here we go.
#50 - Emeka Okafor PF 27 6'10'' 252 B+ C- D- A A- D Okafor is a terrific defender and rebounder however is getting on in years and doesnt look like getting better, only getting worse.
#49 - Shaun Livingston PG 24 6'8'' 175 C+ A- A- B D+ C The 6'8", 175 pound Shaun Livingston makes the list at 49. At only 24, Livingston is quite a sound passer of the ball and posseses a nice outside shot, however isnt a good enough defender to be inside the top 40.
#48 - Antoine Diot PG 19 6'4'' 199 C+ B B B- C A After one amazing training camp, young Frenchmen Antoine Diot cracks the list based solely on his potential to get better. Both Livingston and Okafor are better players, but lets face it, you would take Diot over them two 9 times out of 10.
#47 - Tiago Splitter PF 25 6'11'' 240 B+ C+ D+ B+ B- B Entering the UBL as a free agent from Europe, 25 year old Tiago Splitter has made his name one connected with strong inside play, hard defense and the potential to get better.
#46 - Andrew Bogut C 25 7'0'' 251 B- C+ C+ A- A- A The big Aussie is only 25 with A potential, so shouldnt he be higher on the list? No, in my opinion he plays way below his ratings. A great defender and rebounder although a poor scorer, we parked Bogut at #46.
#45 - Larry Hughes SG 31 6'5'' 184 B A- B A+ C C Although Hughes, talent wise is probably a top 20 player in the league, his trade value isnt that high due to his age. An A+ defender and 20ppg scorer, Hughes will only decline from now on in for the rest of his UBL career unlike many of the players listed above him.
#44 - Tasmin Mitchell SF 21 6'7'' 235 B+ C C+ B+ C+ B Mitchell was another 2010 draftee that opened a can of 'Good TC' in this years training camp period, improving in 3 key areas and displaying himself as a future force to be reckoned with in the UBL.
#43 - Korie Lucious PG 21 5'11'' 160 C+ A- B- B- C- A Lucious also had a good training camp however is a few off becoming a great player in the UBL. B- defensive ratings and decent ball handling skills keep him from being higher up on the list, however his potential to get better keeps him on the list.
#42 - Martell Webster SF 24 6'7'' 236 C+ A C+ B+ C+ B In my opinion, Webster is quite over rated, however I still respect him and the trade value he holds at only 24 with A potential. A deadky outside shooter and a defender on the verge of being great, Webster has the power to become better and improve as a player.
#41 - Mario Chalmers PG 25 6'2'' 180 B- A- C+ A C- B Chalmers, the 21st pick in the 2007 draft underwent an incredible training camp this year, good enough for a spot on the UBL's Top 50 Most Untradeable Players list. With a great outside shot and incredible defense, Chalmers is an elite player in the UBL and doesnt look like he is ready to stop improving.
#40 - Earl Clark PG 22 6'10'' 200 B- C A+ B+ C B The UBL's second most hyped up player ever (besides Danilo Gallinari) makes the list at number 40. "Mr Triple Double" aka Earl Clark is a great all round player however poor scorer which severly hurt his position on the list. A string on inconsistent training camps also prevented him from being placed higher.

#39 - Chris Bosh C 25 6'10'' 251 B+ C C- A- A- C Bosh is somewhat like Bogut, a player that does not live up to his ratings. Bosh at only 25 was expected to be so much better, however he settled to be a 20 and 10 guy. A great inside scorer and shot blocker, Bosh is a better player than he holds trade value, however on this list, he sits at number 39.
#38 - Tracy McGrady SG 30 6'8'' 210 A- A- B A C D McGrady may be one of the most electric players and dominant scorers in the league however his age and D potential prevent him from being any higher. Although we would take him over half the players listed above him on the list, in the long term, and as far as trade value goes, McGrady doesnt rank that high.
#37 - Darrell Arthur PF 23 6'9'' 226 B C- B A A- C Althought Darrell Arthur seems to have stopped improving, his amazing defense and solid rebounding as well as his young age (23) make him a valuable asset and quality trade bait on the Pacers squad this year.
#36 - Pau Gasol C 29 7'0'' 240 A D+ C A- B+ C Gasol is an elite scorer, great defender and solid rebounder however is somewhat considered a 'cancer' due to the fact that his teams fail to win, and without him, they do the opposite. Even still, I would take him and foster him onto my team, although the players listed below farm more value than the big Spaniad.
#35 - Monta Ellis PG 23 6'3'' 177 C A- B A- C A Signed to the MLE this season by the Philadephia 76ers, Monta's amazing TC and his ability to keep his coverted A potential make him a valuable trade asset. In theory though, Ellis should be ranked number 1 due to his inability to technically be traded.
#34 - Gerald Green SG 24 6'9'' 200 B- A- B- B+ C- C Green just underwent his last TC to possibly improve, and he didnt. Even still, Green is a great player, a lethal outside scorer and a solid defender with good trade value. He will prove instrumental on the 76ers roster this year after spending 4 years with the Boston Celtics.
#33 - Sebastian Telfair PG 24 5'11'' 167 B- B A B+ D B Bassy makes the list at number 33 thanks very much to his ability to score, pass and play defense. One of the best point guards in the league with potential still in the tank, Telfair is a valuable contributor to his team and holds a fair amount of trade value on a count of the 'he may improve' notion.
#32 - Chris Paul PG 25 6'1'' 179 C+ B A A- C- B Paul makes the list ahead of point guard rival Sebastian Telfair due to his better defensive abilities. Its a close call between the two however I would take Paul due to his minimal amount of turnovers he creates and better defensive positoning.
#31 - Bill Walker SG 21 6'5'' 210 B- A- C B- C B Walker is now classed as a 'great' scorer due to his last training camp and looks to become an even better one in future training camps, although his poor defensive ratings currently hold him back. Playing for the Blazers this year along with LeBron James, Walker can take a backseat to the King and learn and inturn, develop into an even better player.
#30 - Tony Parker PG 27 6'2'' 180 C A- A+ A- C- B Parker is the best pure point guard in the West. His A+ handles, great outside shot and awesome defensive ratings make him a valuable asset. Currently in the prime of his career with the potential to increase his ratings, Tony Parker sits at #30 in the UBL's Top 50 Most Untradeable Players list.

#29 - Kevin Garnett PF 33 6'11'' 240 A- C C+ A A- D Its rather sad that one of the leagues most talented and dominant players holds this much trade power, however at 33 years of age and D potential, Kevins ability to draw in young names isnt a powerful as one first thought.
#28 - Danny Granger PG 27 6'9'' 225 B- A- B- A- C+ B Granger is incredibly versatile however struggles to play defense at time. Once thought as a small forward, the 6'9", 225 pound Granger now heralds as a point guard in Indiana. Due to his versatility, Granger earns a spot inside the top 30.
#27 - Tim Duncan PF 33 7'0'' 260 A- C- C A+ A- C Duncan is solid, a proven winner, although does not carry that much trade value due to similar reasons that plague Kevin Garnett. Age, salary and potential. Even still, Duncan is a top 10 player talent wise and would be an amazing addition to any team.
#26 - Hakim Warrick SF 27 6'8'' 221 A- C B- A B C Warrick is also another incredibly versatile player. At 27 years of age, Warrick seems to still be improving. An A- scorer and A defender, Warrick is the leader of his Denver Nuggets and will look to take them into the playoffs this year. As far as trade value goes, Warrick has some of the best in the league.
#25 - Carlos Boozer PF 27 6'9'' 258 A- C- C- A- A- C Like Duncan and Garnett before him, Boozer is a proven winner and has taken the Utah Jazz to many playoff championships and round wins. An A- inside scorer and double A- defender and rebounder, Boozers age and potential to get better keep him at 25 on the list.
#24 - Ben Gordon PG 26 6'5'' 200 C+ A A- A- C B Gordon is a great player however has found it hard to show what he can really do in Boston as he has had to play behind some of the leagues premier players (Jermaine O'Neal and KG this season). A swift outside shooter and great passer/defender, Gordon can get better which makes him a valuable trade asset.
#23 - Andrei Kirilenko SG 28 6'9'' 225 B+ A- C+ A+ C+ D The Big Russian is #23 on the list. A spectacular defender and proven scorer, the 28 year old member of the Utah Jazz is still an incredible asset although does not hold much in terms of being trade bait nower days with new and promising looking youngsters making their way into the UBL.
#22 - Kobe Bryant PG 31 6'6'' 220 B+ A- A- A C D KB8 is sick, a top 5 UBL player although his D potential most definetly turns a few GM's away from trading for him. A newly turned point guard, Kobe will have to lead the Kings deep into the playoffs and remain neutral at the end of the season for his value on the market to increase or remain stable.
#21 - Alexis Ajinca SF 21 7'0'' 205 C+ B B+ B B- A Ajinca was hyped up on his debut and has partly lived up to his expectations. The 7'0" small forward frm France is a great player currently and many beleive he will develop into what we can call an 'elite' player some time in the future.
#20 - Jarvis Crittenton PG 23 6'5'' 222 B+ C B+ A- C- B Crittenton is a great player however for some reason does not garner that much interest from the leagues GM's in terms of trade value. A splendid inside scorer, defender and passer of the ball, Crittenton will have to have a big 2011 season for his trade stock to jump into the teens.

#19 - Jermaine O'Neal C 31 6'11'' 242 A C- C A+ B+ C Jermaines time in the league as a superstar is drawing closer to and end as he turns 32 this year. Still the leagues second best center (behind Greg Oden), JO is a terrific defender, scorer and basically, all round player.
#18 - Marvin Williams SF 24 6'9'' 230 B A- C B B+ B Marvin Williams was considered an almost 'bust' after his first few years in the UBL. One training camp later and Marvin is now recognised as one of the UBL's most talented and valuable assets. A great all round player with the ability to get better, Williams hits the most untradeable list at number 18.
#17 - Stevie Taylor SG 19 6'5'' 180 C+ B B+ B C- A Young Stevie "Wonder" Taylor underwent a great training camp this season and looks to be an incredibly promising prospect that 29 of the leagues 29 GM's would love to get their hands on. Very much like Daniel Gibson of the St. Louis Spirit, Taylor, at 6'5" and 19 years old looks like a future superstar.
#16 - Kirk Hinrich PG 28 6'3'' 190 C A A A- D+ B The whitest man in the history of the NBA cracks the list number 17 thanks very much to his solid career play and insanse point guard ratings (outside, handles, defense). At 28, their is still the possibility of him improving in the air, it just depends on wheather he wants to strive for it.
#15 - Deron Williams PG 26 6'4'' 202 C+ A A- A C C Often overlooked like Ben Gordon due to his surroundings, Deron Williams of the Utah Jazz definetly holds high trade value by their GM aptly due to his amazing ratings and solid/concrete play as a point guard for the Jazz franchise.
#14 - Louis Williams SG 23 6'4'' 175 B- A- A- B- C- B Williams is one of many stars on the new look Knicks roster. A superb scorer and handler of the rock, Williams has the potential to get much better than he already is. If his defense can improve Williams will become a UBL superstar in no time.
= #13 - Rudy Gay SG 26 6'8'' 222 B A- C+ A C+ B The first ever pick in the UBL, Rudy Gay is now recognised as a superstar player as well as being a player that still has potential still left in the tank. A premier defender, solid inside player and great outside shooter, Gay posseses a lot of trade value and is one that a franchise would build a team around.
= #13 - Amare Stoudemire PF 26 6'10'' 245 A- C- D+ A+ B+ C Sharing the number 13 spot with Rudy Gay is Bulls team mate Amare Stoudemire. Stoudemire is a name formidable with greatness, however his UBL career has been far from succesful. The Bulls have barelyt made a playoff appearence even though they have had playoff quality teams in the past. Amares improvement is pretty much finished.
#12 - Yao Ming C 29 7'6'' 310 A- C- C- A- A- C Yao is a beast with beastly ratings and incredible height on his side. At 29, Yao is still valuable and an amazing player for the Pistons. A great inside scorer, defender and reboudner, Yao is one of the leagues best players, however also most untradeable due to the lack of big men in the league.
= #11 - Sergio Rodriguez PG 22 6'4'' 170 C+ A- A- A- C- B Rodriguez is just sick. He is just amazing and has the potential to improve even more. At only 22, Sergio is a possible 24 and 9 player this year witht the Cleveland Cavaliers. His ability to keep turnovers down yet still create the assist is what people love about him.
= #11 - Darius Washington PG 22 6'2'' 185 B A- C C+ D- C Washington is the leagues most potent scorer however his defense and potential let him down. If he was a B+ defender he may have cracked the top 5, however because he isnt, he hasnt. Washington is a core piece of Indiana's championship run this year and will most likely finish out the season as a Pacer.

The top 10 will be released very soon in a seperate thread. Look out for it. I need to check with Play as we are having some disagreements with some of the placements. Who will be number 10, 9, 8 . . . . ? The answer is coming soon!

If Melo isn't in the top 10, a mistake has been made.
