Charles Barkley: Welcome one and all. Tonight, we have LeBron James. James will shoot about many things including the Suns, Lenny Cooke, the 76ers and many other things. Let's get started.
CB: Let's get right into it Bron. How did it feel going to the finals last year and losing? Also, how do you feel about the Sixers in general?
LJ: It hurt. We worked real hard on getting there but there's nothing we can do about it now. We just knew that we had to look foward to the next season. At this point, we're hungry. We want our revenge. We feel like we can beat the 76ers and losing last year made us work harder in the offseason. As for how I feel about the Sixers, they are our rivals. That simple. They are a great team, however, we want to beat them. We look foward to playing them. We've beaten them twice already and honestly, we want them in the finals.
CB: How'd you feel about the Howard/Smith trade?
LJ: I like both guys really. Apperently, we wanted D more so then a player that can play offense and I can understand that. I'm glad we got someone that can play D like Howard does. It makes my life alot easier.
CB: How has this season been going for you thus far?
LJ: Awesome. We have one of the best records in the league so I can't complain. It's been a bit tough with all the injuries but we have alot of depth so I think we can deal with it fine for now.
CB: What are your opinions on Wade and Melo?
LJ: Carmelo is an awesome scorer. He can rebound and pass as well. Overall, he's an awesome overall player. I'd love to play with the guy one day. As for Wade, well, I love the guy. He's putting up MVP stats. He's a star overall. I love what he's doing and I love the fact that he's carrying the Suns even though that team basicly took away one of there main weapons in Odom last season. Truth be told, I wish he was on a team that actually has more talent to the level of Wade.
CB: Ouch. Speaking of the Suns, what are your opinions on Lenny Cooke?
LJ: Fuck Cooke. I havent forgotten that shit that kid was talking back in the day about how he was better then me and how he would beat me. At this point, he's as talented as that garbage can over there. He's worthless to me. Belive me, if we're ever matched up together, I will dominate. Then again, I wouldent expect him to want to be matched up with me.
CB: You guys are at the top of the West, what are your opinions on the team that's ontop of the East?
LJ: They have a damn nice frontcourt. However, we have proved already that we can beat them. I've seen better defenders on 3rd grade teams at the SG/PG spot then the Celtics have. As long as we dominate there, I think we can win without a doubt. Of course, I would also expect something to happen to that team. An injury of sorts. Call it a hunch.
CB: Who are your biggest disapointments in the league?
LJ: There are a few. The Bulls are one of the biggest. They have as much talent as any other team in the league, yet they suck. Plus, they are over the hard cap. That's another reason. The Wiz are up there as well. I'd crack that up to injuries though. The Cavs also. For a team that was suppossed to challenge the 76ers, they arent exactly scaring anyone. Let me not forget the Rockets. I'm pretty much stunned there. No clue what's wrong but hopefully it can get fixed. Atleast with those 4 teams, you can say the GM's are trying which of course leads me to the next few teams. Let's be honest here. The Warriors and Knicks need to step it up. Warriors especially. That team has so much talent yet they suck. Pathetic.
CB: Any suprises?
LJ: Well, i'm suprised the Pistons are still ontop for obvious reasons. My biggest suprise would have to be the Sonics. It has nothing to do with talent though. More so that they actually found something to work. I'm happy for them.
CB: Who comes out of the West and East?
LJ: It's going to be another 76ers/Blazers final. That simple. I don't trust the Celtics enough for now to say that they will come out of the East. On the other side of things, until we get knocked off, I can see us going back to the finals on the West side. If it ends up another 76ers/Blazers final, we're winning it. Point blank. No way we let it slip again.
CB: Alright. I'm going to through out some teams. In about a sentence, descirbe them.
LJ: Alright.
CB: 76ers?
LJ: Best team in the East.
CB: Clippers?
LJ: Need some new faces A.S.A.P.
CB: Suns?
LJ: DWade.
CB: Warriors?
LJ: Pathetic excuse for a record thus far.
CB: Spurs?
LJ: Could be up and comming.
CB: Mavs?
LJ: Overrated and overvalued.
CB: Last one. Nets?
LJ: A solid yet quiet team. Nothing more. Nothing less.
CB: Any last comments?
LB: Yeah. I love playing for my GM because he's always willing to make moves to win now or the future. Same with a few guys in this league. Then we have others that suck. Some guys need to step it up soon. It's horrible for me to watch as a fan of the game. It's horrible to see some teams go to hell because of it.
CB: Thanks alot Bron. Hopefully we can do this again one day.
LB: After the finals, we will.
