I figured I would make a deal before the holiday starts lol.
I do this becasue I get 6.4 million in expiring contracts along with another 1st round pick (4). I have no need for Tinsley so I might as well deal him now while he is playing good. I know I get raped but whats the point of having a good PG if your team sucks balls. With 4 1sts in this draft our future looks bright. I still have Micheal Redd so I should add another 1st round pick or two by the end of the week gving me 6 picks in the first round.

I figured I would make a deal before the holiday starts lol. but whats the point of having a good PG if your team sucks balls. Does this make sense? Why would you trade a top PG (with very nice ratings) under a nice contract for a mediocre draft pick? You will not draft anyone close to Tinsley's calibre with that pick. I understand you're trying to rebuild....but I don't understand trying to trade away a player you'd likely target in free agency anyways.

Probably because he couldnt get anything for Tinsley.. If I had the Money I would have given my pick this year for tinsley... I think he is easily a top 10 pg in the league.

His contract runs out next season judging the shape my team is in now I wont be in contention for a few seasons. Why would I sign Tinsley to multi year contract when he is 31 years old and when my team doesnt have a lot around him. It makes no sense to have a player like him on my team when my team isnt very good right now. Im better of starting over not signing him to a 5 year multi million dollar contract at 31 years old when my team isnt ready to compete. Also he has very high greed low loyalty and he wants to play for a winner so I would have little if no chance of resigning him anyway.

I agree Raptors. The pick isnt great but I I like the deal because atleast you get soemthing right? Why would you keep him on your team when you know you arent gonna be good even from 2 years from now. The value for players in this league has decreased. I think even though Tinsley is good he isnt going to do anything major for you.

At least get what? Have you seen some of the players selected deep in the first round? They almost always amount to nothing of significance. Even if you didn't want him, don't advertise that he's available for a first round draft choice. You're rebuilding. You're not going to win anytime soon....take your time and find the right offer. Tinsley could've gotten you more than this. When his contract runs out, he's 31....what's your point? By then, you'd have your youth and you'd be set at an extremely important position with Tinsley. He distributes the ball well and is an excellent defender. Why not keep him and build the rest of your team around him rather than give him away for almost nothing? Who says you have to give him a long term contract? You have his bird rights. If you lose him, so what? You'll save the 2 mil in cap you're taking on from this first round pick you're recieving. Wanna know what types of players are available late in the first round? Take a look at Rodney Carney. It took Raza quite a bit of time to get rid of his contract....and it was a rookie contract.
